Mr. Newlin and the Class of 1958 had an unusual relationship. He was principal at Leaksville Graded in 1946, when the Class of 1958 began first grade. He moved to Leaksville-Spray Junior High in 1952 when the same group of student moved. In 1955, the same thing happened. We and Mr. Newlin moved together to Morehead. For those of us beginning at Leaksville Graded, he was our only principal in 12 years of school.
